Whoa, Miss Kate! Dana is mine! You haven't gotten that into your head yet?!?!?!?
I wish I had mute buttons for my four brothers too!
Hey the mute button doesn't sound like such a bad idea! lol I could so use it on my brothers.
It does seem to quickly by, but great fun to do :)
Haha, name me a woman that doesn't want to be Empress of Russia? Rich, powerful and beautiful. What do you say, should we form a team with the mission to take over Russia?
Like your list, you seem like you really enjoy every day life!
There's a Twilight Zone episode where Dana Andrews travels in time.(No Time Like the Past) Only he goes backwards. Maybe you could go back and see him.
Hi Kate:
Cool-- I'll get on this today or tomorrow!
Millie- I'm sorry, my friend, but it is YOU who are mistaken... Dana is MINE :D
Nicole- especially if your brother makes loud random train noises all day long, like mine does...
Classic Maiden- :)
Lolita- lol! so true :) My dad's side of the family left Russia in the early 20th century, and I always thought it would be so neat if they were Russian royalty fleeing from the Revolution.
It seems like I enjoy every day life, but I think on my "8 things I'd like to do" I should have included "enjoy every day life more!"
Wendymoon- oooh, sounds great to me!! I haven't seen that episode yet, I'll have to see if Netflix has it!
John- I just read your post- I love Foyle's War too! Don't worry about the tag thing, I always feel awkward having to choose people for these things too, but for some reason I end up doing it anyway.. I like your idea, "if you want to be tagged, tag yourself", very simple and no one is left out! :D
Great list and thanks for the tag!
I think the majority of us classic film fans would like to go back in time. I love the fashion of the 30's but I don't think I'd like living in the Great Depression. Howe about living in a 1930's movie? Preferably one with a lot of parties that involve super glamorous evening gowns : )
I also enjoy checking my email frequently. It's like Christmas...sorta.
And just when I thought it was safe to not obsess over Dana for a while...Ha. Quite the popular boy, that Dana. I guess I'll have to settle for Steve Forrest. ;)
Kidding. He's actually still alive and still married. (Thanks Wikipedia!)
And thanks for the tag, Kate. It'll give me something to do tonight other than A) feel sorry for myself, or B) venture further into the realm of ridiculous 'creative writing'.
...
Best of luck with your art show! :)
Thanks, Kate! I've posted my answers at Movietone.
I love Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I used to watch it every night when it was on the PBS station in St. Louis. And Get Smart, I Dream of Jeannie, and Bewitched are still among my favs from childhood (I had a huge crush on Barbara Eden and Elizabeth Montgomery).
Okay, I'm dying to know why you disdain NJ and where you'd like to go instead, if it's not too personal to ask. And I'll join you on the ocean liner trip! Sounds amazing!
Casey- OH, it's a long story, but mainly I'm just one of those people that hates the place they live, even though other people probably wouldn't find it so repulsive.
With the exception of Princeton, I just can't stand the accent (which I think I have a mild version of! gah!!) the fact that we have like the worst air pollution outside of LA, it actually smells (literally, every time I go on vacation, I can almost smell it when we cross the border back to NJ) and I have nothing in common with most of the residents.
For fun sometimes, you can try on Netflix typing in zip codes to see what the most popular rentals are in that area, and my zip code is ALL awful films, whereas my ideal residence, Burlington VT had a bunch of films I like. It's a great indicator of how you fit in :)
Hey - I sympathize! I hate where I live, too. We've got some redeeming aspects, here (like my school) but overall it's been pretty dreadful. I think worst of all is how far we are from everything, even basics like the mall and Joann's. It's 30-45 min one way! I think I'd be happier somewhere in the south. Not quite sure where yet.
Frankly the NJ accent gets me, too. It grates on the nerves... ugh! I'm going to have to try that Netflix trick. Curiosity is getting the better of me!
I should clarify on the accent.. I'm not talking about the North Jersey accent that's really mobster-ish. The one around where I live is more of a twang on certain words, plus really bad grammar (which, thankfully, I have totally avoided.)
I know my accent isn't too bad, but it must be relatively obvious because my teacher & a fellow student mentioned it when I submitted a radio project for an online class I was taking. I was mortified! I really wish I could find diction lessons, because I want to have a much better speaking voice.
I'm really out of the way, too, but we do have one or two really big strip-mall things with art supply stores, grocery stores, etc. But I do most of my shopping online anyway.
