I choose this film, well, because I haven't seen it yet! A black & white melodrama is meant to be seen first on the big screen. Montgomery Clift immerses himself deeply into his characters which I imagine makes a satisfying pair with Myrna Loy--though I was surprised to learn that they made a film together, along with Robert Ryan.
(I RTed:))Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15549305280962914271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-13194921331790479112017-04-22T16:38:42.989-04:002017-04-22T16:38:42.989-04:00I have quite a few ideas. The musical numbers in these films would look amazing
projected. I'd also love to see 1928's The Wind on the big screen.
I can only imagine how fantastic the intense and eerie atmosphere
of the knock-out final sequence would look one the big screen.
In addition, the screening would provide a great opportunity to
spotlight the powerful role of women in early Hollywood.
On that note, as the festival moves towards including newer classics,
I think Elaine May's A New Leaf would be a wonderful way to represent
TCM's commitment to highlighting trailblazing women on the network
and at the festival. Maybe May would even be willing to visit Club
TCM to discuss her career!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08091775120513398767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-7901422737995414492017-04-21T21:57:39.034-04:002017-04-21T21:57:39.034-04:00Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans
