I love the veil-eye-mask thing. I'd also love to have her red convertible. It looks like a little toy car!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02026961018017690353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-20927980846276898192009-02-02T00:38:00.000-05:002009-02-02T00:38:00.000-05:00Okay, good I'm not going crazy! I seriously bought a pair of rubber boots like the ones she wears w/ the pink nightie...just because she wore them!Milliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08562702535170134885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-82987545771437170312009-02-01T23:11:00.000-05:002009-02-01T23:11:00.000-05:00Vivienne- I just saw Mame for the first time last ...Vivienne- I just saw Mame for the first time last year, and I completely adored it! I think that somewhere in my subconcious is a Mame just dying to break out. Ever since I was little I've re-done my bedroom pratically on a yearly basis and I think my "look" has gotten an overhaul just as often!

Jacqueline- I have heard some Jo Stafford but not too much yet. Next year will be 10 years since I first discovered old movies and music, but only recently did I start branching out from "strictly Frank"- I've discovered some earlier Jazz Age music that I like and I'm also on a Nancy Wilson kick. I think she was like a female Sinatra, especially her early albums.

Graciebird- Thank you so much, and feel free to write long comments anytime- I love reading them! I love Roman Holiday, I think it's one of my favorite Audrey Hepburn films. In my world, though, she would have given up the crown and run away with Gregory Peck :)

Millie- I actually had responded to you, too- but I had to delete the blog entry and re-post it because I couldn't figure out how to switch the picture that went with the post. I wasn't happy with her legs so I re-drew it and re-scanned it, and then couldn't figure out how to switch the old pic with the new. Anyway, Isn't How to Steal a Million fantastic? I think I've seen it 50 times and I could watch it a million more - pun intended :)Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02026961018017690353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-9290163304880828132009-02-01T19:01:00.000-05:002009-02-01T19:01:00.000-05:00Whoa, I commented on this yesterday, but it doesn'...Whoa, I commented on this yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have appeared.

What I said was that "How To Steal A Million" is my favorite Audrey (well tied with "Roman Holiday") and how I love this sketch...the legs and shoes look especially cool!Milliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08562702535170134885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-79408506612031696172009-02-01T12:45:00.000-05:002009-02-01T12:45:00.000-05:00That is so cool! I had seen a couple of old movies before Roman Holiday, but that was the first film that elicited a true, happy response from me. And I instantly was under her spell. And now, a year later, I continue to be a full flegded Audrey fan. She's simply wunderbar.

I know that was long, but I love your blog and your sketches are amazing. The first classic film I remember watching and loving was Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell, watch it over and over again, in fact I think I grew up wanting to be her. I loved the way she kept transforming her look and the style of her apartment over and over.vivienne strausshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07950873670326776362noreply@blogger.com
