That movie has some of the most amazing costumes!

I chuckled over your picking GWTW too, because you know... I respect that movie and do enjoy watching it once in a blue moon... but I only somewhat like it. But those sleeves are fantastic.Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-76720103092313741992016-12-20T23:09:30.282-05:002016-12-20T23:09:30.282-05:00That 1980's version was my introduction to the...That 1980's version was my introduction to the story, so I have quite fond memories of it. I had no idea how the story would end, so it quite shocked and stuck with me. I will keep my eye out for both older versions!DKorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05819702518388146971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-58656447494660003082016-12-20T17:46:41.337-05:002016-12-20T17:46:41.337-05:00I didn't even know there was a 1980 version --...I didn't even know there was a 1980 version -- Chris Sarandon as Sydney Carton?! I associate him so much with Prince Humperdinck, I can't even picture it! I think I need to watch that one now :)

Also, Dirk Bogarde's version is pretty great too. But Colman *IS* Sydney Carton. I honestly think he was born to play this role, he's just that good (I hope I'm not overselling it too much haha!)kate gabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16613714423917702757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6952132016236201534.post-32273135360711585722016-12-20T11:02:52.917-05:002016-12-20T11:02:52.917-05:00Yay! And I love that you put Becket and King Henry's bromance down, as that was the best part of that movie. Those two were great together.

Drew Barrymore's angel costume/dress rocks. It is amazing!

You know, I need to see that version of Tale of Two Cities. I've only seen the 1980 version, and I dig Ronald Colman.

Marian's dresses are so beautiful!DKorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05819702518388146971noreply@blogger.com
